I recently put up a concept of [[Source-code editor with transparent native-language display]] on the ideas page. Obviously, it would have an immediate and major impact on the accessibility of the "develop", "pyologo", and "Guido Van Robot" activities. I understand that each of these has its proprietary editing environment (based on IDLE??) but for broadest applicability I'd like my idea to be based on scintilla, not python. Anyway, let this be the section for discussion of how to integrate this idea into existing projects, as opposed to the feasibility or desirability in general. --[[User:Homunq|Homunq]] 17:00, 25 July 2007 (EDT)

Were did you get the idea that Guido van Robot uses a "proprietary editing environment"?
The complete project, as well as the others you mention, are free software and licensed under the GPL.
BTW, what you propose, the "transparent native-language" is part of Guido van Robot for the last 5 years :-)
