Joel Stanley
From Adelaide, South Australia.
Student at the University of Adelaide studying (part time) a Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Systems).
OLPC interests
My background is in electrical and electronic engineering, so hardware, and any software close to the metal pikes my interest.
OLPC Google Summer of Code Student, 2007 - Alternate power sources, along with Rafael.
OLPC Advocate in .au - http://people.ubuntu.org.au/~shenki/. I received a B1 XO from Jim Gettys at linux.conf.au 2007 in Sydney, which set off my involvement.
I spent 10 weeks interning at OLPC offices in Cambridge, during the (northern) summer of 2007.
