Forth journeyman. Very excited to see XO using Open Firmware with Mitch Bradley on board.
I've also worked a bit on the lightweight Xlib replacement, XCB. It might be a good fit to the XO's constrained resources.

I've made my pledge at http://www.xogiving.org/ , and November 12 can't come soon enough!
- November 12 came, and I made my purchase early in the morning (my nephew's birthday, as it happens). I'll also need to order a developer key if I want to play around at the OFW prompt.
- I also found out to my chagrin that there is not yet a version of LOGO being shipped on the laptop. The turtle-graphics activity Turtle Art uses a visual programming metaphor with many limitations compared to Logo. Etoys and Scratch however look very promising, substituting object-oriented Squeak Smalltalk for the underpinnings, instead of functional Lisp.
