Laptop Update Process
Currently, laptops are updated by putting a new build on a flash drive, inserting it into an XO, and turning the XO on. The rest happens automatically. Work is proceeding on a way to do this without overwriting user files. Eventually, the school server will be able to push updates to XOs overnight via wireless. Children will need to be aware that their XOs must be on and fully charged beforehand.
