This info makes me smile. It is great to see opportunity and kindness together. Can any one point out where the solar device is in the picture below which is named 'charging the xo with a solar panel'? Hooray XO!
- A black wire is connected on the left side of the XO - trace it in the picture and you would see a black panel (just above the little girl leaning on the chair) hanging by a string . --Arjs 12:24, 4 November 2007 (EST)
Collaboration in Asia
Carla,
Congratulation for your work. Very inspiring.
I live in Montreal where where I manage an Internet Marketing Agency. My wife and I have 4 young children. At the begining of my career I worked at Logo Computer systems. We also lived in Rwanda for two years where I opened a Computer School for handicaped children. Finally, two years ago, we went with our family on a trip to South America (Ecuador, Peru, Brasil) where we volunteered for an Education project. Enough about us, I tell you all this to try and introduce our idea to find a way to help with the OLPC project. In 2008, We have decided to spend several months in Asia (India, Cambodia Vietnam). Do you have any idea of how we can start a discussion to collaborate with some project.
Obviously, I participated in the g1g1 program and I am hoping to get my XO soon. But more importantly, I would like to get in contact with your organization in Asia to identify potential collaboration.
Thanks in advance for your help.
