ifconfig is a Linux command to review network configuration options and must be run through the "Terminal Activity".

ifconfig for Wireless eth0

At a Terminal Activity command prompt, enter

/sbin/ifconfig -a eth0        

MAC Address

The MAC Address is listed as HWaddr in the first line.

/sbin/ifconfig -a eth0    
eth0      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 00:17:C4:05:24:24  
          inet addr:192.168.1.107  Bcast:192.168.1.255  Mask:255.255.255.0
          inet6 addr: fe80::217:c4ff:fe05:2424/64 Scope:Link
          UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST  MTU:1500  Metric:1

IP Address

If your XO is connected to a wireless network, the IP address is listed on the second line as inet addr:

/sbin/ifconfig -a eth0
