== "Gyr" or "ger" is the name of their dwellings? ==

I found their dwellings fascinating, so looked them up. They are what is known in English as a Yurt. Indeed, I've helped to put one up for a week-long encampment. I had no idea the design was from Mongolia. The best reference I found online was [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yurt the Wikipedia page on Yurts]. This includes photos of how one is constructed. It calls them "ger", as does [http://www.laohats.com/Mongolian%20Ger.htm the Lao Hats page about Mongolian Gers]. [[User:Gnu|Gnu]] 03:36, 22 January 2008 (EST)
