Waveplace Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Pennsylvania that:

1) raises money to purchase laptops for Caribbean children.

2) creates training materials that teach digital media skills.

3) inspires teachers to use computers in new ways.

  • April 2008 - Waveplace completed a 10 week Virgin Islands (US) pilot with the Guy Benjamin school's 4th grade class. (Movies include scenes from pilot, student presentations)
  • March 2008 - Waveplace is conducting a 10 week pilot in Haiti (Movies) at one of the Mercy and Sharing schools.

Other pilots are scheduled to start in St Vincent and Immokalee Florida.

They are developing Etoys video tutorials and ultimately an Etoys textbook.
