OLE Nepal are developing activites for Nepali kids/the Nepali curriculum using the XO using Etoys as our authoring environment. In April we'll start a pilot program involving kids in second and 6th grade from two different schools.

Epaati: Downloading, Issues, customization

The set of (open source) activities we're developing are grouped under the name Epaati, and you can get version 10 (the latest release at time of writing) by clicking this link.

We're working at full speed towards the pilot program, and we need all the help that we can get. If you want to help out, check out the Epaati_open_issues page.

We have augmented the standard Etoys image a bit so it satisfies some of our specific needs. Instructions on how to make a fully fledged Epaati image is described in Epaati_image_customization

Epaati tips and tricks

Epaati is usually either in author mode or in user mode. If in user mode, the image can be unlocked by pressing ALT-SHIFT-w, selecting OLE, and then selecting author mode.

To go from author mode to user mode, just press left-click on the world, and select OLE -> usermode.
