Physical interface for musical instruments
Simple touch switches to control tempo in TamTam, light sensor based musical input.

:TamTam could do without the tempo. When I was in school, our band did just fine without tempo adjustments on the instruments. (to go much faster, give the drummer a dozen cups of expresso) Eliminating the pre-made (inflexible) beat from TamTam would simplify the user interface. Kids can do the percussion themselves; it's a nice skill to learn and it encourages teamwork. AlbertCahalan 12:42, 20 October 2007 (EDT)
::Interesting, so we can have physical interfaces to generate the tempo. (rather than control it) --Arjs 12:57, 20 October 2007 (EDT)

Robotics
Robotics platform - similar to Mindstorms (perhaps simpler). Module connects to XO through USB.

Keyboard light
Something which can clip onto the somewhere below the XO screen and help illuminate the XO keyboard.

Joystick
It might be useful to have a joystick peripheral that maps to the mouse or the "game controller" directional pad/buttons. Several people on the Talk:Accessibility page suggest that the XO may be useful for disabled students, and these students may find it easier to manipulate a joystick instead of the keyboard/mouse. —Joe 18:48, 28 October 2007 (EDT)

Printer
(Que) Will a USB pinter work with this laptop?

(Ans) Potentially yes, but some software would need to be modified (This will be moved to the discussion page in a few days) JoshSeal 16:08, 22 November 2007 (EST)

(Que) What about interfacing to the millions of cheap, and currently available printers (HP, Canon, Lexmark, etc)?

Bicycle generator hubs
Since I'm a newcomer here, and don't yet know the internal etiquette/OLPC culture on this wiki, I didn't want to post to the article page, but it occurs to me that some of the generator hubs and flywheels might offer some interesting powering possibilities whether attached to a bicycle or not.
