I've been trying to get an OLPC working with the Magic low-cost USB SVGA adaptor found here <http://www.siig.com/ViewProduct.aspx?pn=JU-000071-S1> but haven't had any luck yet. I'm making another attempt and would appreciate any suggestions from someone who has gotten it to work with that particular adaptor. Thanks!
I've been trying to get an OLPC working with this SIIG 'USB 2.0 to VGA Adaptor' found here <http://www.siig.com/ViewProduct.aspx?pn=JU-000071-S1> but haven't had any luck yet. I rebuilt a custom kernel module on an OLPC running Build 703 (stable), however, I believe my USB SVGA adaptor is not compatible because is uses a different driver than this guide was written for. I would like to share my already compiled rpm if it would be useful for someone else trying to do this. It compiled without any fatal errors. I would appreciate it very much if someone with a "compatible adaptor" (according to this wiki) were willing to install it on their own OLPC and see if it works. Thanks!

The progress made here is great. Has anyone tried using the lower cost USB to VGA device that Magic Control Technology Corp manufacture? It uses a different chip to this one. JoshSeal 21:34, 1 February 2008 (EST)
