I would like to see some statistics here both about number of laptops in the world, and the demographics of the users, and also the usage rates--how many hours a day the children use them, what percentage of time is spent with different activites, school usage compared with other usage, etc.

Google analytics is installed on our wiki. see Wiki analytics for details. A lot of wiki traffic currrently is people visiting the Activities page...
We also want to run this on the olpc website, which receives a similar amt of traffic.
