Quiero comentar aquí acerca de cómo ayudar a los niños y niñas campesinos a comprender la Matemática a partir de acciones sobre los objetos que los rodean.

Importa mucho el lenguaje que se use. Por tanto es necesario recordar que, generalmente, los niños que pasan sus primeros meses y aprenden a hablar en una vivienda campesina típica colombiana -esto significa aislada y carente de estímulos auditivos y visuales suficientemente interesantes-, son niños con gran deficiencia en la comprensión de palabras que son comunes para niños que nacieron y aprendieron a hablar en medio de comunidades, aunque pobres, más densas y activas. --margarita
