This release is targeted for Uruguay but it wil be available to everyone and probably will be used in manufacturing. It is a maintenance release based on 8.2.0. As such it does not contain the latest changes and the goal is to minimize changes in order to bound the test cycle. |

Unlike previous releases, the 8.2.x buildstream will be accepting changes only when there is a champion willing to argue for a change as being necessary for a deployment or G1G1 scenario. That champion will start the ECO process, and will work with the triage team to determine the severity of the problem, whether an acceptable workaround exists, and if we should fix the problem in an 8.2 build or a 9.1 build. We will be unlikely to accept changes that do not have a champion, or are not considered blocking bugs for deployment scenarios. |
