2009 Cambridge, MA Based Internship Program
International Operations Internships
Operation's interns will assist in nearly all aspect of OLPC's mission. Interns should have an interest in development, public policy and logistics. Highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals will interact with OLPC staff, representatives from countries, NGOS, UN agencies and private industry. Interns will participate in policy development, program management and partner communications. Interns must have strong communication skills, be highly computer literate, enjoy fast-paced environments and not mind being interrupted.

2009 International Internship Program
One Laptop per Child Offers Intern Program in Peru and Uruguay
Improve children’s education and help change the world.
About Our Internship:
Volunteer to change the world and yourself by participating in the OLPC International Internship program.
At OLPC, our interns will be vital members of our innovative 1:1 laptop learning project and an important part of the on the ground support system. OLPC summer internships run for 10 weeks (June until early August) and are a full-time commitment. Interns will work closely with a local implementation team comprised of teachers, technical professionals, government officials and members of the OLPC learning group.
If you are an undergraduate or graduate student with an interest in education, technology or capacity building, our internship will provide you with invaluable hands-on experience.
Interns will:
• travel to one of the selected countries for 10 weeks: 1-week orientation and 9 weeks at a community site in either Peru or Uruguay
• support an interactive English language learning program
• help children learn by designing and constructing their own software projects
• receive an XO laptop
• participate in online activities/training with OLPC employees
• participate in a wrap-up and celebratory session
Requirements:
• Passport
• Immunizations
• Proficiency in the Spanish language

Acerca de nuestro programa de pasantias Ofrézcase como voluntario para cambiar el mundo y a usted mismo participando en el programa Internacional de pasantias de OLPC.
En OLPC, nuestros pasantes serán miembros vitales de nuestro innovador proyecto de aprendizaje 1:1 y parte importante del sistema de apoyo en campo. Los puestos de pasantes de verano de OLPC tienen una duración de 10 semanas (junio hasta principios de agosto) y son compromisos de tiempo completo. Los pasantes trabajaran en estrecha colaboración con un equipo de implementación local que consiste de maestros, técnicos profesionales, funcionarios gubernamentales y miembros del grupo de aprendizaje de OLPC.
Si usted es un estudiante de pregrado o postgrado con interés en educación, tecnología o creación de capacidad local, nuestro puesto de pasante le proporcionara una valiosa experiencia práctica.
Los pasantes:
viajaran a uno de los países seleccionados por un periodo de 10 semanas: 1 semana de orientación

Requisitos:
Pasaporte
Registro de vacunación vigente
