The One Laptop per Child association develops a low-cost laptop—the "XO Laptop"—to revolutionize how we educate the world's children. Our mission is "to provide educational opportunities for the world's poorest children by providing each child with a rugged, low-cost, low-power, connected laptop with content and software designed for collaborative, joyful, self-empowered learning." We have recently reduced staff to deal with tough economic times; see our announcement for details.
Get Involved
Our participation page notes some ways to get involved with OLPC. Ask us about other many ways to contribute!
See our latest News including our newly overhauled Contributors Program, offering free XO Laptops Loans and Community Mentoring to volunteers worldwide who pay it forward.
