WiXi

WiXi is simple idea for tool to test kids constructing language learning using OLPC.. 5000 page views in a few months proves some interest is out there.. current plan is to solicit a bid to deliver basic tool.. anyone interested in helping with *minimal* advice? thanks Duke 14:49, 23 March 2007 (EDT)

Yet another cross-post

I recently put up a concept of Source-code editor with transparent native-language display on the ideas page. Obviously, it would have an immediate and major impact on the accessibility of the "develop", "pyologo", and "Guido Van Robot" activities. I understand that each of these has its proprietary editing environment (based on IDLE??) but for broadest applicability I'd like my idea to be based on scintilla, not python. Anyway, let this be the section for discussion of how to integrate this idea into existing projects, as opposed to the feasibility or desirability in general. --Homunq 17:00, 25 July 2007 (EDT)

Were did you get the idea that Guido van Robot uses a "proprietary editing environment"? The complete project, as well as the others you mention, are free software and licensed under the GPL.
