Does a requirement for VFAT or long file names have a bearing on the choice of FAT16 vs. FAT32? Apparently both FAT can have long file names in Linux. Is there any subtle difficulty which needs mention? Thanks, ... [[User:Peasthope|Peasthope]] 19:00, 22 March 2012 (UTC) |

Striking that the article has no mention of a flash storage-specific file system. I would have thought that a primary recommendation is to use [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UBIFS UBIFS] rather than FAT or ext3. Regards, ... [[User:Peasthope|Peasthope]] 16:10, 13 March 2013 (UTC) |
