At the top-level [http://laptop.org/laptop/ "laptop" link of the OLPC project] one is immediately blasted with jargon: "We want the child to interact with XO on as deep a level as he or she desires." WTF is "XO"? The operating system? How about a link to a definition or something? -- John Comeau (haven't created an account yet)

PS -- once someone fills this in with a definition, go ahead and delete my rant.

PPS -- when I get more into this site, as I intend to do, I'll probably find out the answer myself and fix this page. I just ''hate'' getting nailed with internal jargon right from the get-go. It reminds me of the snobs I've worked with in many fields who know relatively little but have the jargon down pat, and try and use it to exclude newcomers.
