Forth journeyman. Very excited to see XO using Open Firmware with Mitch Bradley on board.
I've also worked a bit on the lightweight Xlib replacement, XCB. It might be a good fit to the XO's constrained resources.
I hope to someday see one of these gorgeous laptops in the wild. At the next OSCON, perhaps?
- Yes! In fact, IBM donated booth space both my own rocketry club (http://psas.pdx.edu/) and the OSU Open Source Lab, which brought four of their XO prototypes. The XOs were mobbed thoughout the entire conference.
