MIDI input on the OLPC XO

The TamTam musical suite uses the OLPC's keyboard as a musical keyboard.

  • Then it might be easier to hack a USB keyboard electronics package and a musical keyboard with the electronics removed rather than using a MIDI keyboard and MIDI-to-USB with the attendent software issues. Davewa 19:25, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Desire for MIDI

At Ben Samkha's Thailand XO trial, one of the students' desired features was a full keyboard with a greater range of pitch.

Past success with MIDI inputs on the XO

Wu-hsi Lee has apparently had some success with MIDI instrumentation on the XO.
