Could someone please post instructions on how to UNinstall prboom? I installed it through the terminal, to see how it looked, and then found it to be pretty boring, so I'd like to get rid of it. Thanks!

You could use xo-get (gui): ./xo-get.py remove doom (list installed activities with ./xo-get.py status) Crazy-chris 12:19, 18 January 2008 (EST)
Another method, could be in Journal, simply remove the entry for downloading? --ixo 01:09, 17 February 2008 (EST)

Is it possible to play prboom in ebook mode, so using the game keys left and right from the screen?

I found the solution already. Just assign the keys in the game itself. They are regular numpad-keys

Preventing vandalism?

There is a picture inserted into the startup sequence of some dude (presumably Ralph) and a shocked cat stating that Ralph has haxored this page. Can this please be removed and can some one tell Ralph to get his rocks off doing something else? The picture returns as the startup sequenence cycles. How can we keep other software clean, if it is so easy to swap a link or replace some binary? --WiseWoman 08:54, 7 March 2008 (EST)

As far as I can tell, this is not vandalism. The game data (WAD) files included in the Doom .xo file are not the original Doom files (because the original data files were never released under the same GPL license as the engine itself). The data files in the .xo file are instead maps and graphics put together by fans. The opening screen is apparently an inside joke by these fans, probably in reference to someone who claimed to hack their site. If you don't like the opening graphic, you may be able to release your own .xo file with an alternate opening screen (check the licensing), but you would then be altering the authors' intentions, for whatever that's worth. As for your second question, there are proposals for signed activity bundles that would allow you to verify the last person to modify an activity, but I don't think this is working yet. —Joe 12:34, 7 March 2008 (EST)

Second Level.

I just beat the first level of Doom, and I loved it! :) But when I try to go to the second level, It says I cant HELP ME

Hacked!

This file has been compromised by a hacker. It should be removed, but I don't see where the original version is in order to replace the working file.

There ewas never an 'unhacked' version; someone needs to make and upload one. I have removed the version you mention for now. --Sj talk 22:35, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
