Hi Bucknell OLPCorps team,

I really enjoyed reading your wiki page! You've done a great job so far. I have two points of feedback which might be helpful in refining your proposal. If you decide to add this information and can't fit it in the 750 word proposal, include it on your wiki.

1. I'd love to see some details regarding how students at Bucknell will support the program for years to come. Are there university grants for which you can apply? How will student groups contribute to the project? Are there faculty involved with the program?

2. I'm also interested in seeing some of your specific thoughts on learning activities. The blogs are a good start. How else can you empower children in this community to be creators of learning? Be sure to check out the OLPCorps Learning Manual File:Learning Manual V2.pdf

I hope these points help. Please feel free to e-mail me at bstuart@laptop.org with any questions.

Hi Bucknell team!

My name is Savanah Franklin and I am applying to South Africa with a team at Indiana University. I just wanted to let you know that I loved your blogging project idea so much that we have decided to incorporate a similar idea into our proposal(we give credit to your team for the idea on our wiki). Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for the great idea! Good luck with your project. :)

Savanah

  • Savanah, that's wonderful. Thanks for the kind words and I hope your project goes well! --Kyle Olivo 01:09, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
