Dear OLPC Management,
The frustration expressed at such locations as http://olpcnews.com/forum/index.php should have been the first clue something was incorrect.
Secondly, a review of management reports should have shown that the incoming funding was inconsistent with the orders shipped.
Third point, a simple apology instead of an excuse is long overdue.
Please do the right thing and issue a public apology to your supporters. It is safe to say a number of people will simply walk away at the seemingly unprofessional PR way that this has been handled.
To the anonymous person who posted the above
They already issued an apology. Get over yourself.
How sad. I just saw a college university course that has the OLPC shipping issue as a case study on how not to treat a donor or customer base. It is a shame that this shipping and mis-communication is having such ramifications to the overall project.
Hopefully Pixel Qi has learned from this situation and will do a better job.
