Américo Damasceno is a brazilian electrical engineer, having worked all his life for IBM (since 1969). Now is retired(?) and is a book writer, having 14 books about IT (system development, programming etc.) published . His books are published in portuguese by the Editora Érica from Sao Paulo-Brasil and in spanish by Editorial Metodos from Buenos Aires-Argentina.
