My main XO-related interest is in the OLPC project in Haiti, most particular in the unique opportunity it offers to have a critical number of XO users construct knowledge via the use of their native language, namely Haitian Creole. This is both a tremendous challenge and a tremendous opportunity in light of the long (neo-colonial) history of political and economic factions that have traditionally marginalized the use of Haitian Creole in education and other domain where power is produced and transmitted.

I am also the father of a 4-year-old boy who has just started playing with XOs. Through him, I am also learning about the XO as an educational tool for the youngest.
