Not so sure that what I wrote is in a format appropriate for wikis.

As well, I tried to be diplomatic (as well as informative) about the likes of "silicon" for "silicone", and "glue" vs. "adhesive".

I don't know what the internal structure of an XO's keyboard is, but would expect conductive (carbon-filled elastomer ("rubber")) buttons, and gold-plated finger contacts on the circuit board.
