The 2B1 will be similar to a PDA, i.e. a computer that belongs to one person which they can carry everywhere with them. It would be useful for the 2B1 to come with Personal Information Management functions similar to the PIM on a PDA.

Most PIM applications are built around the idea of a database. Sometimes they also allow the end user to specify new data tables in addition to the standard set.

Developers who wish to build PIM activity modules for Sugar may be interested in Winzig, a Python PIM that uses the GTK GUI toolkit. This is a simple PIM that could easily be ported and extended. It also uses a tab metaphor and ideally that would be changed to leverage Sugar's tabs.
