Small problem: none of these techniques gets me an Ok prompt on my XO-1.

Get a developer key then.

how do i exit the ok prompt? i found the answer on the Open Firmware (OFW) page --

When finished with the OFW - OK prompt, do one of the following:
* turn the power off by holding down the power button
* type boot to start the operating system
* type bye to restart the laptop
* type power-off to turn off the laptop
Yes, it isn't really in the scope of the Ok page to explain all this, but I've added a short paragraph. --Quozl 00:07, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
