Hi there. I have asked for space on git for my IDLE fiddling. You'd need an email and an SSH2 key and a subscription to devel@lists.laptop.org to get checkin access, once they respond. Also, here is a message I got recently:

Jameson,
With your interest in the OLPC project, and a CS background, I wonder if I might convince you take on a (very modest) project. Specifically, to assemble the existing pieces of a rudimentary pop3 e-mail client into a Sugar activity. Most of the work has been done, but no one has sat down and made a recent activity that does it.
In total, it is likely not more than a day or two worth of work. There is documentation on the laptop.org wiki along with the Tinymail (http://www.tinymail.org/) site on compiling it for the OLPC. Using the python example UI and the like should make this a sufficiently low-hanging fruit that many people would like to see be plucked.
Interested?

I said I'd look into it, but if you're inspired to, go for it; right now, I'm focusing on my proof-of-concept. Homunq 09:54, 10 August 2007 (EDT)

You there?

The git is coming along, if you want to look at it. It would be good to have an email for you if you want to be in on design discussions, although I try to keep the wiki page up-to-date with the decisions I take. Homunq 13:47, 27 August 2007 (EDT)
