This page is meant to be a collection of suggestions, an extension of some of Todd Kelsey's PhD dissertation involving the concept of conversational and community DNA, and "ideagardens".

The approach recognizes that some groups form completely spontaneously, and either don't need to or don't wish to fit within an established heirarchy, while other people may appreciate some suggestions on groups they might like to join, or form; and other people might appreciate some suggestions on roles that they could play, or create for themselves.

So this is *not* defining -- it is brainstorming, like a seed lab, which a visitor is welcome to plant somewhere in their imagination, or to take and modify and change it into something else entirely.

Groups

Developers Localization Grassroots (visitor may wish to look at comprehensive mailing list and see what has organically formed so far, and fill in here -- the idea is to take a look at what's already there, and think about what may yet come)

Roles

(It would be nice to find an article or link on a person's critique or review of typical roles that are required within various online communities, such as editors, etc. within a wiki, moderators in a forum, etc.)

  • for adults
  • for kids
