To start OLPC ignore my email the day after I opened my XO-1. Somewhere in the wiki I read (before I even knew my xo's full deliniation) what I though said my XO-1 was an "no longersupported" so emailed for help commenting i felt a little had (no sic) since $400 would get a fancy phone and naturally we softies are concerned about a program which appeares determined toput our third-world children in front of a screen and hopefully enjoying thecommunity of OLPC but rather than growing strong in leg andarm and mind our in the real world. Oh yes, add eyes. But the xo-1 worked well and sucked me into your literature and a start on Forth although let me say right now I do not intend to spend my remaining few years writing or debugging code. I want to participate though, as one faced with a lot of the challenges an initial child student would confront ... let me pop "learning_opportunities"{"OTL"} instad of "challenges" for now since challenges in my context is a bit imprecise compared to OTL which can be addictive to the hungry young mind. (Comment: love yourkeyboard, why isn.t mine gloe-in-the-dark at least cause with nil power management I' enjoying the hi-contrast B/W feastur often colored up one notch. Also am getting the keyboar shortcuts down BUT where's an alt-left arrow backup? And how about a simple "mavorites" lest we could save to. Looking forwsard to the SD card from Microsoft of course, just for favorites and the XP combo-keys. My dogs barking too much outside this wifi bar so I'll break for now. PLEASE edit my forays into Forth lingo as I was not planning to say what I said being novice and relatively disinterested. But then I was slow figuring out where to get info on the Dos "Mode' command. What I want to so is spearhead the introduction of OLPC into STL (Soulard specificallty) and have time, resourses, ideal property and space therein, recognize your preferencefor individuals to manage their own shit ... oh yes, I haver a lot of great shit that I's wanted to eBay for a few years which would easily make cash AND spaced. Just connectewd to a Mesh 6 somebody or thing but wasn't thereby online and wondered if they say me. Will study share. I think ... that USA interest and hands-on involvement might well become of high value and swill leave similarly hunched people to fill in reasons which may match mine or may not. Delighted yesterday to make my own (2GB) USB stick with os653 on it and can now cvoler and rename my guy. Wish there was a better file management deal than Journal but maybe I'll get it. I need a CHKDSK and a DIR/P/OGN and /OGS. Be back as soon as I've got Lady settled down with the turkey carcass.
