The InterWiki map charts interwiki link prefixes, and is stored in the interwiki table of the database (see Help:Interwiki linking). To propose a new prefix, please do so on the talk page. Specify why the prefix would be useful..

Administrators: remember that the prefix (first column) cannot contain spaces ( ), colons (:), ampersands (&), or equal signs (=). Avoid conflict with languages (en:, fr:, etc).

A script will be written to copy the list into the database (say, every few months).

Please fix sugar interwiki prefix

This map doesn't match reality. The wiki has a sugar interwiki prefix, e.g. sugar:Supported systems,but it's broken it needs /go/ changed to /wiki/. (I e-mailed sysadmin@laptop.org about this on 2008-11-13). -- skierpage 23:16, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

It now needs to go to http://wiki.sugarlabs.org/go/ --FGrose 12:27, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
<trac>9285</trac>, http://rt.laptop.org/Ticket/Display.html?id=23918 --FGrose 20:56, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

Special:Version indicates that wiki.laptop.org has mw:Extension:InterWiki installed, so someone with access to the filesystem can make the change in a file located something like htdocs/mediawiki/extensions/InterWiki/InterWiki.txt. Otherwise it requires a DB change.

Interwiki map according to the the Mediawiki API

http://wiki.laptop.org/api.php?action=query&meta=siteinfo&siprop=interwikimap is the API call that returns the interwiki map. I'm not sure how this relates to the InterWiki extension. Note the prefix w for English Wikipedia links, e.g. w:One Laptop per Child, very useful. -- skierpage 00:45, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
