How do I install Emacs?

enter the Terminal activity and type

su
yum install emacs

as found here

What about alternatives?

• vi should already be available through the Terminal activity.
• Install MicroEMACS by copying this file to the laptop.
• Zile may be closer to what you expect from Emacs. Install this rpm file to get it.
