Donate 100 Laptops and decide where we send them.

For the first time ever, OLPC is offering individuals, companies and other organizations the chance to send laptops to the country or classroom of their choice. With a donation of 100 or more XO laptops, any group can give children in a specific place the chance to learn, share, dream and connect to each other and the world.

Where:

Anywhere. From the country your family is from to the neighborhood school just down the road, you or your group can give hundreds of young students this amazing tool for learning. You can also choose to direct your donation to an OLPC partner country to help strengthen existing programs. Our current partners include Haiti, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Ghana, Peru, Uruguay, Mongolia, Nepal, Afghanistan, and the UN Palestinian Refugee Camps (http://www.unrwa.org)

What:

The price range for the Give 100 and Give 1000 programs are:

$219 per laptop to OLPC partner countries and the UN’s Least Developed Countries (LDCs) [LINK]

$259 per laptop to the rest of the world

Each donation of 100 or more laptops includes spare parts, local workshops, and on-line technical support. Donations of I,000 or more include the above, plus on-site assistance from OLPC staff.

How:

If you want to give 100, 1000 or any amount in between, please send an email to givemany@laptop.org with your contact information. We will respond quickly to learn details about you or your group and where you want to send the laptops.

FAQ: Why does is cost $219 or $259 per laptops for the Give 100 program when the Give One program is only $199? The $199 laptop is subsidized, and we can often add it to existing shipments. The laptops specifically offered in the “Give 100 or more” program can be directed anywhere and their price covers the full cost of their delivery. The delivery in our existing partner countries is $219, but in all other countries the price rises
