Any material on this wiki must be legal decent and honest.

Material must not be put on this wiki if that would breach copyright law.

Original material

Did you create this material?

Is it all your work with no elements, components or pieces created by someone else?

Are you happy to license it for use by anybody for any purpose provided they give you credit for your work?

Then this material can legally by included here and can be distributed to schools and other users.

Derived works

Does the material use some elements created by someone else?

Are those elements which were created by others licensed by their creators for use under the CC-BY license?

Have you provided attribution links to those other contributors?

Then this material can legally be included here and can be distributed to schools and other reusers.

Public domain

Was this material created before 1920?

Have you included the name of the original creator and the creation date?

Was it digitised by you?

Are you happy to license it for use by anybody for any purpose provided they give you credit for your work?

Then this material can legally by included here and can be distributed to schools and other users.

If material cannot be legally distributed to users around the globe, under all the different copyright laws applying there then it will be deleted from this wiki. Material licensed under the CC-BY license complies with that requirement.

Decent

Material posted to this wiki is for use in schools and for teaching for children all around the world. Material which is offensive or inappropriate for children should not be uploaded here. This does not mean that every individual has veto power over any item they personally disagree with but it does mean we should be sensitive to others in what we put here. Anyone can call for material to be removed as offensive and the community will review the material weighing the degree of offense against the educational value of the material.

Honest

Material put here will be used to educate children. While there is a long tradition of indoctrinating children with propaganda it is not a tradition we propose to follow. Material here should not be designed to unduly support or oppose any particular nation, religion, political philosophy or commercial product. Anyone can call for material to be removed as dishonest and the community will review the material weighing the degree of deception against the availability of less biased material.

This site does have it's own philosophy. We believe in giving people the facts and access to diverse opinions and then teaching them the analytical tools so that they can evaluate those facts and opinions and arrive at their own decision.
