Set up your XO-1.5 for Video Editing -- Applies to XO build 12.1.0

  • Enable the Gnome desktop
    • Right click on the XO figure at the center of the Home Page
    • Left click on My Settings
    • Left click on Switch desktop ( the big foot)
    • Click on "Switch to Gnome" and confirm
  • Enable yum repo files for rpmfusion
    • Download the rpm which configures yum
wget http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-17.noarch.rpm

Put it in the correct place ou your machine 

yum localinstall rpmfusion-free-release-17.noarch.rpm
  • Let yum figure out all the the additional files to install on your system
yum -y install openshot
  • THAT'S ALL
