Ensure automatic time correction

Actions

  1. Boot system into sugar
  2. Start terminal activity
  3. Become root: sudo su -
  4. Set a bogus past-time date e.g. date -s "Jan 03 2008 01:00"
  5. Reboot system
  6. Wait for sugar to connect to network, and allow a minute or two for clock sync to happen
  7. Open clock activity

Verify

  • Clock activity shows correct UTC time and date
