United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) is a branch of the United Nations devoted to education and children's rights.

Collaborations and projects

OLPC is working most closely with the Communications office of UNICEF, on projects ranging from a global children's Wiki to a usb-radio transceiver to the J8 Summit last year, where the group of 100 youth delegates formed a mesh of XOs inside a battleship where they were spending a few days working on proposals.

  • artinallofus : A global project to gather photos and poetry from children.
  • mepemepe/uniwiki : A project to provide a universal set of wiki spaces for children's projects and related programs, sharing freely licensed materials and available and maintained at no charge.
