Timeline

I think you use format=timeline if one wiki page has multiple values for the same date property, like Property:Has received laptops on date.

If events have a single Property:end_date as well as a single Property:end_date, then you can use format=timeline to display a bar instead of just a dot.

Example: events with start_date in the future: {{#ask:

Categories

Note: should be useful to show ?Category in event query results to identify as a jam or event or meeting, but some pages have a lot of extraneous categories.
