For now, this page is a place where you can record a request for a bot-like task. It is possible that the OLPC_talk:Bot Interest Group page will take over this function in the near future.

There is no guarantee that a bot or bot-herder will come along and magically grant your wish for a highly repetitive (hundreds of iterations) task to be performed, but we would like to gather some information on bot-friendly tasks that people would like to see performed.

[edit] Synching of pages between wikis

Sugarlabswiki and this wiki have some pages that should be synched, and would like to share templates and images if possible. If not possible, a bot to mirror certain categories or support human-mediated updating would be helpful. Sjux

[edit] Spelling corrections

A spelling bot for correcting common mistakes will be valuable. "Child Foundation" for instance is often misused when meaning the association, "$100 laptop" often means the whole page needs an update and often needs to be freshened itself, &c. Sjux 07:16, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit] search based on category?

A search option based on multiple categories would be nice[1]. And/or some method that helps user to know the existing categories, and offer the option of applying one or more to the page they are creating.
