OLPC News is a community news site which is not directly affiliated with One Laptop per Child. It is currently edited by [[User:|Bryan]] and Christoph Derndofer, with regular contributions from another ten editors.
An old, now dated rant about the site:
[Its] editorial policy is to air every possible complaint about the laptop project, whether or not it is justified. However, both positive and negative news and rumor get reported, and boosters are in fact welcome to contribute. Edward Cherlin, who volunteers on OLPC documentation and language issues, writes for OLPC News in an attempt to counter the naysayers and armchair analysts. Wayan Vota, founder of OLPC News, says that he is in favor of [OLPC], but considers it overhyped.
