Both NIU and IMSA have an OLPC chapter. Have you thought about interfacing with either of them? -- ScottSwanson 16:59, 24 September 2007 (EDT)

Yes. Ping me! Mchua 01:56, 23 January 2008 (EST)

Does anyone mind if I reword the "what OLPC Chicago IS" items a little bit for clarity? Just a little editingitis I have when I see too many ing words together. ;) User:KayTi

Not at all - please do! It's a wiki, after all. Mchua 01:56, 23 January 2008 (EST)

I'm giving a presentation on OLPC and Ubuntu at the Chigago GNU/Linux User Group meeting on Feb 2nd 3pm at IIT Institute of Design on 350 N. LaSalle FreeLikeGNU

Is anyone interested in making an OLPC Chicago Interest Group logo? Maybe a picture of the XO superimposed on a graphical icon of the sears tower or hancock building? KayTi 21:59, 13 February 2008 (EST)

Re: Java on the XO

I've successfully installed java on the XO. A detailed description of the installation is at my page on installing JMRI (Java Model Railroad Interface) on the XO. A sketchier description, which I reference is here. One limitation -- the java plugin does not work inside browse activity. This is a reported bug #6465 Rmyers 18:22, 31 May 2008 (EDT)
