[edit] Translations in Sugar

This test is looking for translations of Sugar items. Everything that you can hover over should be translated to desired language.

Set up

• Use an MP machine with security disabled
• Set the mfg-data for the desired language
• Ensure that you have connectivity to be able to see other XOs
• Invite a few XOs to be friends so the will show up in the friends view

Action

Home view:

1. Hover over XO in home view
2. Hover over the 4 upper left navigation icons
3. Hover over the battery and the Access Point
4. Hover over activities
5. Hover over Journal icon

Neighborhood view:

1. Hover over an access point
2. Hover over another XO
3. Hover over your own XO
4. Type a few characters into the search to see that it will find XOs or APs with those characters

Friends view:

1. Hover over your own XO
2. Hover over a friend's XO

Verification

1. All items should be translated.

This test will open some of the core activities to look for translation problems in both the sugarized section code as well as the activity itself.

1. Open the activity
2. Review the 'Share with' message and the neighborhood/private
3. Hover over the Keep button
4. Hover over the Close button

Browse tab:

1. Click on 'Browse' tab
2. Hover over the forward and back buttons
3. Hover over the reload button
4. Hover over the star (save bookmark)
5. Browse to somewhere on the net and save a bookmark
6. Hover over the bookmark

Activity tab:

1. Click on the 'Activity' tab
2. Review the 'Share with' message and the neighborhood/private
3. Hover over the Keep button
4. Hover over the Close button

View tab:

1. Click on the 'view' tab
2. Hover over the controls
3. Hover over Zoom in, out, full screen and tray icons (need to have a bookmark for this one)

2. Take a picture
3. Hover over the picture
4. Click on the 'i' (information about the picture)
5. Hover over the full screen icon in the upper right of the picture
6. Open the Timer pull down box

Video Tab:

1. Click on the Video tab
2. Repeat tests as for Photo

Audio Tab:

1. Click on the Audio tab
2. Repeat tests as for Photo

1. Click on Journal
2. Hover over the 'anything' filter type
3. Use the scrolling mechanism to check 'types'
4. Hover over the 'anytime' filter
5. Use scrolling to see all the types
6. Review the listings for items that should be translated (Min, Sec, for instance)
7. Insert a USB stick
8. Hover over the Journal and USB icons in the lower left
