Becoming a dev

I'm trying to learn how to hack on sugar.

I'm going to write up my experiences here, so that others can benefit.

I have an XO, but you do not need one.

  1. Get sugar-jhbuild up and running so you can play with the environment (this isn't too hard, i promise)
  2. Learn some Python
  3. explore the code (note: 8.2.0 code is structured differently than in the master branch) in sugar-jhbuild
