This article is to present organizational, financial and other information about OLPC Korea. As OLPC is non-profit project, also is OLPC Korea. So its size and the number of employees are quite small and few, maybe 1/10 of NGOs pursuing similar educational projects in Korea such as Korean Associations for Science Education etc.

The rules governing the activities of OLPC Korea is described in the Constitution of OLPC Korea.

Headquarter

It's located in Yeraedong, Seoguipo, Jejudo, using about 100 square meters' office space and a grand ocean and forest around it. At the date of 10 July, 2007. There is no full time employee, but 3 volunteers led by Do Young-Min user:php5.

Because the office used by XO Korea is owned by the Jejudo local government, there is no rental (lent) payment at all, and other operational expenses also are quite little.

I expect there will be 8~15 people working in this office as full-time employment, if budget allows: the salary level of those employees will be similar to that of governmental employees of similar ages.

Of course, all the major projects are established or confirmed at this office; all regional affairs are coordinated by it also.

Another important aspect is the fact that the role of OLPC Korea is just to coordinate, relay, moderate, and/or monitor the activities of all XO users, not to control, direct, instruct, and/or require them to do something.

See 16 Jeju Team for details.
