Update
You may wish to update from a previous version of the operating system. This method preserves most user data, the Sugar Journal and installed Sugar Activities, but does not preserve certain operating system customizations such as additional packages.
(Update is distinct from install. If you have followed the install procedures above, then you need not follow this section.)
Simple Online Update
On the Ubuntu Unity desktop, select Ubuntu Software, then Update.
Known Problems
Wireless is not available immediately after completing the Ubuntu System Configuration steps. This happens every time. The problem is tracked by Ubuntu.
Sugar startup graphics corruption
The first graphics drawn by Sugar after a reboot may be incomplete. This happens one every five times. To workaround the problem, open and close the frame (f6). The problem does not occur on Ubuntu 16.10 Yakkety. The problem should be fixed in the next release of Ubuntu.
Sugar Write activity flicker
The top of the Write activity begins to flicker once text is typed. The problem is believed to be caused by Gtk+ 3.18 combined with Abiword 3.0.1. The problem does not occur on Ubuntu 16.10 Yakkety. The problem should be fixed in the next release of Ubuntu.
