OLPC intention to create a new laptop is great, howether I see several weaknesses: 1. It will take time until this tool will be ready to use and deploy to its intended users 2. The product was not tested in practice; therefore it is not proven its effectiveness in achieving intended goals 3. Due to different modus operandi it may require additional training for its users in order to be able to switch for "classic PC/Laptops"

In order to cover above mentioned issues, but also as a complementary tool, I can suggest organizing a program for collecting und supplying used laptops, which are available and ready for use. Eventually, a mechanical charging tool can be attached to them in order to increase power supply time.
