EShiksha

eShiksha has some great web-based science learning modules in Hindi, English, and Tamil. They use flash for several interactive activities. I have run the eShiksha modules on the B2 XO and the flash modules did not work with the version of Gnash included in build 385. The flash modules did work after I installed the proprietary Flash Player plugin for Firefox.

Running eShiksha

The eShiksha modules are compressed with the RAR utility. On Windows you will need to use the Zip Genius utility. On Linux, just download the unrar utility. You can find the unrar package for Ubuntu with the Synaptic Package Manager or apt-get. After that simply open the index.html file under the particular module you want to use.

You can download the English content directly from here
