Projects/The BMP

• This is just a temporary page and will be updated from time to time to document the progress of this computerized adaptive math instruction program.

• The premise of the BMP is to develop an open source computerized adaptive instruction (CAI) program using Bayesian algorithms to select items from an item bank. This program will be a side project of the author's proposed dissertation which involves furthering the application of Bayesian inferences in item response theory.

• I believe there is a need to have an open source CAI that can be utilized and adapted in the developing countries where education in mathematics and science is often lacking.

• The BMP aims to create a completely open sourced algorithm that can be utilized and adapted to a variety of different learning environments and cultures.
